Fund for Helena Blank's Children
Yad Yehuda is requesting your help with a rare and very unfortunate situation in our community.
Two very young brothers — merely 3 and 4 years of age! — have recently lost both of their parents. Their mother, Helena Blank, succumbed to a prolonged illness about month ago and their father passed away 3 years ago. While they are now being cared for by their loving grandparents and have the incredible support and love of their broader family, Yad Yehuda and Kemp Mill Synagogue have established a fund to ensure that their future financial and educational needs are met.
It is, of course, excruciatingly painful to hear about children losing both their parents at such a young age. That it occurred so close to home — in the Greater Washington area — presents all of us with both added responsibility and a very special opportunity to help these yesomim (orphans).
