Hachnosas Kallah

Imagine the joy of celebrating your child’s wedding. Now imagine the pain if the crushing weight of financial worry overshadows that joy. Families in our community need your help to make their children’s weddings a reality without the burden of overwhelming debt.

So many of these families face their upcoming simcha with actual fear — with no idea how they will acquire the funds to pay for even the most basic wedding expenses — and knowing that they can’t qualify for a loan or even reimburse a kind-hearted neighbor who might be willing to lend them money.

When you donate, you’re doing much more than providing funds: You’re giving real families — perhaps your own neighbors — the ability to celebrate without bearing intense financial strain. You’re allowing the parents of the chatan and kallah to enjoy their simcha with joy and dignity. This is your chance to make an impact on your neighbors, your community, and families just like yours.

Hachnosas Kallah as a Merit for Finding One’s Spouse and Having Children
There is a fundamental rule that Hashem treats a person in the same way as he treats others. It is brought down by chazal that assisting with Hachnosas Kallah is a merit to help one find a spouse as well as a merit for having children.

Hachnosas Kallah as Protection from Death
Many years ago, the Chief Rabbi of Belgium, HaRav Chaim Kreisworth zt”l was very ill. He visited the Steipler to receive his blessings and advice. The Steipler advised him to undertake marrying off needy brides. Rav Chaim immediately began to do so and miraculously  recovered, living to the age of eighty-two.
