​For individuals and families in our community who are in need, our hunger relief program often means the difference between having enough to eat and doing without sufficient nutrition. We help hundreds of Jewish community members throughout Greater Washington put proper food on their tables with dignity.

​​​Tomchei Shabbos

​Capital Kosher Pantry

Provides gift cards to Shalom Kosher Supermarket so individuals can purchase food for Shabbos and Yom Tov without embarrassment or stigma.
​Allows dozens of individuals and families in the Greater Washington Jewish community shop free of charge for the kosher food products they need most.

​Simcha Food Gemach

Bakery challahs are distributed to community members in need every Friday. Sponsored by Rosendorff Challah.
Share the joy of your simcha by donating leftover food and preventing good food from going to waste.​ We only accept food from Vaad Harabonim-approved events. To donate, please call 301-842-7135 ext 710.

​Produce Distribution

Fresh fruit and vegetables are distributed around Yom Tovim to families and individuals in need.
